Red Sox

Hii you guys, I'm back after however long I've been away, or at least not posting.
Just to keep you updated before I continue with the Red Sox report:
What did I do this weekend? I was SUPPOSED to go to Six Flags and Cape Cod.
The first? I didn't go because we were in the wrong place.
The second? It was RAINING like crazy. And Cape Cod is kind of a beach-type-place. You do the math.

So, coming to the subject, the Red Sox. I was also supposed to write a report on one of the things that I have done in New England, the Red Sox being the most recent one since Cape Cod didn't work out. So I'm going to post exactly the same thing as I handed in as my report.

Wednesday August 17th. That was the day that I finally, after being in Boston for 6 weeks, went to see the Red Sox. As we arrived that day at Fenway Park (too late, as always) we just followed the main stream of people. After getting in and finding our seats (which we discovered earlier weren't next to each other, but in front of one another. Not exactly what we wanted...) and being disappointed that we missed the whole national anthem shebang we just took pictures of the stadium as we weren't really interested in the game; we didn't really get it. Just to illustrate how bad it was, we didn't know when a baseball game ended so I asked it to the guy sitting next to me. Stefan couldn't even believe that I was doing that, but come on; you would've done the same. It ends after 9 innings by the way. One inning is when the Red Sox have pitched until there are three so-called "outs" from the opposite team (this time being the LA Angels) and the Red Sox have batted until they have 3 "outs".
Fenway Park: the inside.
Coca Cola and sundown. Magical :)
I have to idea what they were waiting for.
Fenway Park is America's oldest Major League Baseball stadium currently in use, with its opening date in 1912. Its age also makes it the US's oldest venue used by a professional sports team and also well known throughout the whole New England area as "America's Most Beloved Ballpark". This baseball park has undergone many renovations of which one of its results was the famous Green Monster. This "Green Monster" is basically a big green wall with a manual scoreboard in it and a popular target for right-handed hitters. A remarkable thing about the Red Sox games is that all of them have been sold out since 2003. More specifically: May 15, 2003. By selling out its 456th consecutive Red Sox game in 2008, this stadium broke a record in Major League Baseball. Actually, in the bleacher where we were sitting (# 42) there is a Lone Red Seat in the midst of all the green seats. That spot marks the longest home run ever hit at Fenway.
The Green Monster in all its glory.

Around the 7th inning the atmosphere in the whole stadium was pretty good. The Red Sox were winning (or at least I think they were, I still didn't understand the game exactly) and the fans were loving it. Every time a new player entered the field people would start screaming. A little bit before that they were showing messages people wanted to each other on the big board and one guy even proposed through there! That's definitely something I won't find in Holland. Around the 8th inning the song "Sweet Caroline" came on and the whole stadium was singing along with it. If I had to judge my experience there only by the game itself I would say that it was boring, especially if you only start getting the game at the last inning. But judging on the whole atmosphere of the place I have to say that it was such a fun experience. Something so American, it would almost be blasphemy to not experience it! Besides, who doesn't want a huge foam finger that takes all the space in your bag and will be to no use in the future whatsoever?
Me enjoying my foam finger to the fullest. I'm EXTATIC! Can't you notice? ;)

The proposal. So tacky. So tv-ish. So awesome :)

So you guys, hope you liked it...!
Miss you all! xoxo

HAPPY BIRTHDAY DAYENNEEEE!!

SURPRISE!!
Dear Ms. de Bakker, thank you for coming to my site and reading this message.

DEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!
SURPRIIISSEE! HAPPY BIRTHDAY DUUDEEE!!
I told you I wouldn't forget (sorry for the late text though, it was the only time I actually got an opportunity to text you)! ;)
For starters, let me give you a little pic that I know you'll just love:
OSCAR ROB!
1) because I know you just LOVE him
2) because he's wearing a tux and this is a special occasion. :)
I have one crooked smile, one adorkable (just like we love him) and one incredibly hot, smoldering look.
But that's just part 2 of your gift (part one is this post.. hehe)!!
Part three is a speech, inspired by my speech bagde that you and JMG gave me long ago.
So here it is (don't expect much from it though, I'm warning you in advance: it may be cheesy and suck extremely much..hehe)

Happy Birthday my dearest Twilight buddy.
Today you're turning 18 whole years.
Do you know what that means?
You, my friend, are an adult now.
You can officially DATE Rob! Shame he's happy with Kristen though.. LOL
ROBSTEN FOREVEEEER! Sorry, the fangirl in me just came out without permission.
*whispers* I think those new Robsten pics just have a bad influence on me or something.. hehe

No, but seriously, you're friggin' 18 YEARS now!
You're going off to college this year.
What else are you going to do with your whole 18th year?
- Send a lot of ranom texts to your Twi-buddy because she LOVES them :B Don't forget me when you're all grown up and in college!! ;) LOL
Remember our first New Moon-boardgame day? ;)

In this half year that we've known each other you've become very special to me.
This one thing that brought us together is a background thing now (a very HOT background thing, but that aside) as our friendship has grown. :D
Know that even if I'm far away now I'm still thinking about you and the fact that it's your birthday today.
Because come on, what kind of friend would I be to 1) forget my friend's birthday, 2) break my promise that I wouldn't forget it and 3) use this post as an excuse to post more Rob pictures on this blog. LMAO naaah, jut kidding ;) (*whispers* or am I?? ;) )
So dearest D, again: Happy Birthday.
May every good thing that can happen in your life happen.
That you may get a lot of good opportunities, now and always.
That friends may surround you and people see what a great girl you are. Psstt, don't be so insecure about yourself, you're a great person. Ask everyone of my friends who you've met and they'll tell ya ;)
And last but certainly not least: that love (even if it's not in the form of Edward or Rob) may enter your life and stay in it.
To sum up: all the wonderful things the world has to offer, I hope you can experience all of them.

Enjoy this birthday (ok, sorry, I hope you've enjoyed your day ;) ).
I hope you made the most of it and when I come back I bring with me:
GIIFTTS!!! haha
Because that's why you'll want me back, and not because you miss me or anything ;) hahaha
Love you, hon.
I miss you and your random texts!
Huge kisses from across the Atlantic for you!
I don't know why I keep doing this to myself.. LOL

Love you sweetie!
xoxo Bella

PS. SOOOO, did you like it? ;) hehe

My hair

I will address the issue of my hair-changing since everyone thinks that I have gona mad or something.
Yes, I dYed my hair.
But NO, unfortunately you can't see ANYTHING of it. Only in the sun.
See, where the sun hits my hair: REEEEED. Otherwise: not effing change --'

I decided that I wanted to do something different for once. Something I wouldn't dare to do normally. A tattoo was too much for me, so I went for a hair change.
After thinking for a while I came with red.
It wasn't too freaky, but not too standard either.
so on Friday night we all went to the CVS to get the dye and everything and then we were on our way or changing my hair color.
After all the preparations were complete, including a "before" shot
and everything.
Franzi was all happy that she was the one that got to do it and she was letting out these evil little grins from time to time. I have a feeling that she would've laughed at me if it came out absolutely ridiculous. haha
As you can see
Franzi had me all ready for take-off (so to speak).
Franzi: "Are you ready?"
Me: *deep breath* "I think so."
And she started putting the stuff in my hair.
In the meantime, Diojanis and Christina came in and Christina was taking pictures of the whole process..
Such as this one:
Look how concentrated Franzi was... Good thing that she was this concentrated otherwise it might've been a (bigger) distaster!! ;)
And from above:
yes, the stuff that she was putting in looked purple.
It comes out red though (if you could actually see it...).
Sooo, when she was finished I just had to wait ten minutes and then I had to wash it all out (which turned out to be a whole exercise as well).
While waiting my hair was all full of purple goo, which gave us some "pretty" pictures...
See the color on the box? That's what it was supposed to be... --'

It's a miracle that my camera didn't break from all the uglyness that are there pictures.. haha
I waited the ten minutes and I went to wash it out. At first it was a whole waterfall of purple water in the shower but after a while it started clearing a bit...
Franzi's instructions had been: put the conditioner in when the water is CLEAR.
So I'm standing in that shower for like almost AN HOUR waiting until the water is clear. The girls come to check on me because it's taking to long and then they find the situation and they just say to put the conditioner because it was already fine at least 15 minutes prior --'
So I go, get all dried up and go dry my hair so we all can see how it ended up.
I dry my hair and YOU CAN'T SEE ANYTHING!!
I was soo mad!! Seriously, WTF?!
Yes, this is my after shot. Damn it, there it NO difference!
But with the light you can kinda see it:

Problems with the whole process:
1) my hair is just friggin' annoying and too dark for this whole operation. I'm not gonna discolor my hair though, because that's too permanent and when it starts growing back it's gonna look ridiculous...
2) I washed some of it out... It could've been a little better is I hadn't been washing it for an hour.. --'

So now there you go. The whole thing detailed.
Happy?

xoxo

Saying goodbye

I'm dedicating this post to all my friends that left these last two weeks.
The sucky thing about staying over here for 3 months is that I have to say goodbye to so many people.
People who have become very important to me.
People who, even in such a short period of time, have become SUCH a big part of my life that I can't imagine walking these halls without them.
I know, this sounds like someone died or something, but it just simply SUCKS!
I hate saying goodbyes. I know that's part of the whole experience, bla bla bla, but it still doesn't stop sucking.

I really hope they're reading at least this post on here, because I wanted to say to ALL of them how much they have come to be important to me in this short period that we've spent together.
Honestly you guys, thank you for everything. You made this experience worth remembering.
No, I'm not the one who left by the way.
Go to my first post and you'll see that I'm not leaving quite yet.
I made friends here from all different nationalities, and even if that's the first question you ask someone when you meet them here ("Where are you froooooom?"), it doesn't matter for the rest of the time. You get to know people for who they are.

I REALLY hope that I can see ALL of you again. No exceptions.
It was a pleasure and an honor to meet all of you.
I love you, you guys, and I miss you.
xoxo

ps. I would put photographs with this post, but I'm on the school computer right now and I don't have my pictures on here. Besides, I'm gonna have a WHOLE post about all my friends from over here. Introducing them and everything. :)

NIAGARA FALLS Day2 Pt.2

FINALLY!! CANADAA!

Okay, so when we decided we wanted to go to Canada two girls forgot their passports (and with them their visas) so we had to wait for them to go and get it.
Can you believe that we waited for an HOUR? Well, we did. We even took some pictures..
Like this one:
Kisses to everyoooone!! ;) (If you look closely you can see my new SHOOOES! haha ;) )
Ok, so they were finally back and we were ready to go to Canada when we discovered that me and Giulia A (Italian. I'm gonna make a post to introduce everyone.. haha ;) ) didn't have some of the papers we needed to enter the US again after going to Canada.. --' So we practically ran back to the hotel. Got the papers and ran back to the border to FINALLY go to Canada :D
We took some pictures of course. There were these signs saying "That way to Canada" and me as the ultimate tourist could NOT let that opportunity pass, of course ;)

Passing those doors I was on the bridge leading to CANADAAA!
From being kinda tired before I was not totally HYPED UP!
People who know me, know that I'm absolutely annoying when I'm hyper.. haha

So we passed the doors, we crossed the bridge and every step we took the view of the Falls was better and my energy was increasing..
That had as an effect that I was taking 3 or 4 pictures per minute!!
This is Canada from the bridge. Which was called Rainbow Bridge by the way :)
This picture kinda sucks, doesn't it? haha
And of course the Falls. Look Reinate, it's PINK! ;)
So we crossed and we entered this little office that had these two security guides checking passports and asking what our intensions were in Canada and how long we were staying and stuff.
To the first, I just handed my passport to the guy and then he looked and looked again.
To the second I said: "We're staying in a hotel here in Niagara Falls (on the US side) and we would like to see Canada." To which he answered: "Where are you staying in the US?" And I asked: "Where? Here or normally?" and the guy just looked at me and said very dryly: "Normally". I know, I know. What kind of question was that from me.. haha
And then to the third when he asked I had to keep from laughing because it was such a ridiculous answer: "I think about 2 hours."
And then I was all set and I got a friggin' CANADA STAMP! :D

I know you're all going to laugh at what I'm about to say but when I got out of the office and Giulia C. got out too we looked at each other and I started jumping up and down saying: "I HAVE A CANADA STAAAAAAMMPP!! OMG I'M IN CANADAAA!" yes, people were looking at us. :)
Me and Cazzamalli ;) The GRANNIES!

So we went to this bridge thing where you had this PERFECT view of the Falls illuminated and all and took some pictures
like this one, and after having taken some pictures we went to EXPLOORE!
So we found (it was hard to miss, but whatever) this street full of shops, museums, restaurants, etc. A Niagara Falls Times Square if you will.. ;)
There were neon lights EVERYWHERE.
So as we walked down the street we found these wax museums that were just too hilarious for words:
Yes, those are Elvis, Edward, Bella and Hannah Montanah. hahaha
We walked ate chocolate covered strawberries on a stick
(it was VERY good by the way) and I found out that my camera died on me. --'
I know, it has the worst timing.. haha

So we walked around there for a little but more and we decided to go back (it was already like half past 12 or something). But not before we passed the Rainforest Cafe or something like that to take a picture with my dearest Craig, the frog:

What do you think of my new friend? ;)
So, we walked back to the US and we encoutered this VERY cracky guy at the border. Of course.. --' But we go through and then back to the hotel.
We did take a picture at the US border, but I don't have that picture because Giulia A has it.. haha

So that was it, Canada.
I have to go now and see the graduation of a friend.
So I'll talk to you later..
Miss yooou!
xx

NEW FAM.

Heey, you guys.
Just wanted to let you know that I moved to the new family today :D
They're very nice and so are my room/house mates...
Mostly Spanish speaking people, but most of them even want to learn PORTUGUESE!
So that's cool :)
The family consists of an older couple and they live right down the street from the school, which is IDEAL! :)

The reason I left the other family?
She was COOKOOOOO!!
But that story'll come another time, when I have inspiration to write and it's not that late...

Kiiiisss!

PS. I just posted pictures of Niagara Falls on Hyves. It finally let me do it. :)
